Dune - Spice Harvester and Carryall

I worked on this quite early in the process, from about February through April of 2018.
The first thing I was asked to work on was the Spice Harvester, a large ground vehicle that is deployed in the deserts to extract the valuable spice resource.

The focus was on design at this point, not atmospheric fully rendered images.

The mechanism for deploying and retrieving these large vehicles was also explored. While the Carryall is described in the book as just a very large winged ornithopter, a smaller airborne platform that could deploy huge lift-bags and hoist the harvester into the air for transport seemed like a more realistic approach, considering the scale of these mining vehicles.
